Elevate24 Application Configuration
The Elevate24 application provides the end-user interface for requesting and managing elevated privileges on macOS. Application-level configuration defines how the app behaves on the device, allowing Mac administrators to tailor the experience to meet their organisational, operational, and compliance needs. This configuration is typically deployed via MDM using a configuration profile, ensuring consistent enforcement across the fleet.
Key configuration areas include support for custom branding (such as organisation name, logo and text), Secondary Account Mode to support Cyber Essentials (CE) compliance by enforcing privilege separation between standard and admin accounts, and fine-grained control over elevation and de-elevation behaviour. Admins can also customise user-facing messages, button labels, and two-factor authentication to ensure Elevate24 aligns with internal policies and user expectations.
